Plumes above the solar limb observed by SUMER on 27 January 1996 in the
emission line of Mg X at 770.4 A. The left picture shows as comparison
the limb and the chromospheric network in the light of the continuum
(coming from a colder temperature plasma), which is also used to mark
the limb position (bright edge in right picture). The intensities of
the emission line (2nd order) and the continuum situated at the
corresponding wavelength in 1st order are shown in the same scale.
