1992: University degree in Physics (grade 100/110) at the University of
Palermo, Italy. Title of the dissertation: "Pietro Tacchini
(1838-1905): a first scientific biography". Supervisor: Prof. Giorgia Foderŕ, associate of History
of Astronomy.
1993-94: Teaching Physics in some senior secondary schools (Istituto "L.
Gonzaga" and Istituto "Ancelle

One year scholarship from the Palermo University for
specialization at the Observatoire de Paris, working
on the archives of the "Carte du Ciel"

working on the development of the astrophysics in Italy in the second half of
