Temperature Map

The temperature map is shown in Figure 5a. Temperature variations are within a factor of 3 across the whole image and within a factor 1.7 considering only the spatial bins with acceptable tex2html_wrap_inline700 values. These variations are statistically significant being larger than the fit uncertainties (see table 2). The temperature map reflects the different nature of the X-ray spectra of different regions in the field of view as already reported in Figure 2 of Paper I. The bins with acceptable values of tex2html_wrap_inline700 have temperatures in the range 0.15-0.25 keV (tex2html_wrap_inline962 K), which correspond to a shock speed of 350-450 km sectex2html_wrap_inline794 (see Eq. 1). The spatial bins with high tex2html_wrap_inline700 are mostly concentrated in sectors a to d (e.g. a4, a6, b5, d3). We have verified that a 2T CIE model provides always a good fit to the observed spectra in the latter cases, in agreement with the results already found in Paper I.
