The observation of the NE rim of the Vela SNR (, ) was performed with the ROSAT PSPC on 1991 April 25. The PSPC field of view is circular with diameter. The spatial resolution is 30 arcsec FWHM at the center of the field of view and 2.7 arcmin FWHM at 45' off-axis. The spectral resolution is at 1 keV. We collected counts in 3944 seconds exposure time. The optimized time-screening algorithm described in Bocchino, Barbera & Sciortino (1996) for elimination of residual non-cosmic PSPC background was run on the data, resulting in the rejection of 186 seconds (5% of the exposure time).
